MILTEX Veterinary Tartar Removal Forceps, 5-1/2". MFID: 6052

MILTEX Veterinary Tartar Removal Forceps are often used when there is an excessive amount of tartar build up on dog�s teeth. The long tip is placed behind the tooth while the curved portion is placed at the top of the tooth on the front side. The clinician will then apply gentle pressure and pulldown the front of the forceps. Tartar will then be chipped off by this movement. These instruments are NOT designed for feline teeth no rare they an acceptable replacement for proper cleaning utilizing hand and ultrasonic scalers. This tool is strictly for the removal of large bits of tartar and not for basic tartar build up.
